A New Definition for "Retail Therapy"

This week the Downtown Women's Center relocates to a new facility right next door to the Little Tokyo Lofts. Along with providing permanent supportive housing (the solution to homelessness, by the way) the DWC is opening a shop. Many items are hand made by residents. Just in the St. Nick of time for Christmas, you can shop for candles, journals, bags, ceramics, and ornaments for all of the nice people on your Christmas list. No buyers' remorse...all proceeds go to fund the DWC. Metro Mary was on the scene with staff and volunteers to help set up the shop. The wreath is hung, the cash register is ringing.
