I love farmer's markets all around LA, but they are not cheap. ooooh, bad word...I should say "a value" not "cheap" .@#$%^&...I do mean CHEAP, a MetroMary prerequisite. The prepared lunch food is a good deal if you share a kebab plate.
Apples at $2.50 a pound...not quite.
Better bet? Grand Central Market
